Don’t be a tosser.

One man’s trash is another man’s trash.

Why should I take care with litter?

With over 5 million visitors a year, our beaches, waterways and trails "litterly" take a beating. We all need to try to live by: “Carry It In and Carry It Out.”

At the beach: bottle caps, cigarette butts, diapers, food waste — you name it -- can tarnish an otherwise glorious day. Take Care volunteers will be picking up litter  the day after the 4th of July in 2019. Over 10,000 pounds of trash will likely be removed from 13 Cape Cod Beaches, one per town.

Food scraps should be packed out too. Biodegradable materials, such as banana peels, orange rinds, or coffee grounds may seem natural enough, but will not disintegrate in this climate. So, please carry them out.

We all love to visit the beaches of Cape Cod, so we would like your trash to leave with you.
